"The Kurds have no friends but the mountains."
-Kurdish Proverb

Better Friends Than Mountains is a documentary about the tragic history of the Kurdish people, the mounting geopolitical conflict in the Middle East, and the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Volume I was released in February 2015, and Volume II is slated for a Winter 2016 release.

There are approximately 31 million Kurds spread across 13 countries in and around 'the cradle of civilization.' They constitute the world's largest stateless people and remain one of the most unreached and unengaged people groups on earth. This scorned and marginalized people may very well be the ripest harvest field in the Muslim world.

At this critical juncture in history, as the battle for the destiny of the Middle East rages on, it is imperative that the Church in the nations understands what is happening in the region and how the Lord would have us offer ourselves as living sacrifices on the altar of His will in the days ahead.

We believe that the Kurdish people should have better friends than mountains.

Iraq is a harvest field ready for the sickle. If you are on social media, help spread the word by posting a link to faimission.org and using the hashtag #BetterFriendsThanMountains. We are making it free because we want as many people as possible to see it. By the end of the film, we trust you will understand why.

If you would like to host a screening of the film at your church, missions base, home group, college campus or local pub, we would love to come to you to spend an evening with you to show the film and share what we believe are some of the ways the Church in the nations can magnify the worth of Jesus amidst the ongoing carnage in the Middle East.
